Saints Programme

It’s been two weeks since Treasure joined the Saints family, and, like the rest of the team, she has been busy working on her fitness and strength.

Boots has been joining her too, and they have had a great time exercising together. Treasure loves it when Boots throws the ball for her to chase and catch.

Training in winter is hard though, especially when it’s so cold and wet. Treasure doesn’t like it when it rains and often runs inside at the first sign of a shower – preferring to snuggle up by the fire instead. She isn’t the only member of the Saints team who isn’t keen on the bad weather. Tom Makinson, Travis Burns and Jon Wilkin don’t like it either – they’re used to the hot and dry weather in Australia, so it’s a bit of a shock for them, too. But they have a clever trick to keep them warm on cold days – thermal clothes. So when Treasure’s Mummy and Daddy heard about this idea, they went out and bought her a special coat too – and guess what – it’s red and has a Saints logo on! She loves it.

Treasure’s favourite place to exercise is Taylor Park. She loves walking around the lake, running amongst the trees and trying to make friends with the pigeons. The pigeons are a little bit afraid of Treasure though, and fly away as soon as she comes near. But with Boots and the mighty Saints team as her best friends, who needs pigeons?!

Treasure couldn’t make it to the game at Salford last week, so she stayed at home and watched in on the telly with her Mummy and Daddy and her other furry friends. “Woof woof!” she said when we scored, which is Treasure-speak for “Come on you Saints!” She’ll be at Langtree Park for tonight’s match though, so if you hear a woofing sound during the game, you know it’s just Treasure cheering the boys on.
